    Since April 1, 2020 we have experienced unusual shipping delays with international shipments, especiall First Class Mail to Europe and Australia. More recently, tracking information for these shipments has been minimal. This is due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the Chicago area International Sorting facility. The shipper is dealing with an immense backlog of packages, and has suspended most scans to reduce virus transmission.
    No package has ever been lost, but these orders may take longer than usual to appear. Please be patient. Choosing Priority or Priority Express may improve delivery times significantly, but in a crisis there are no guarantees.

    UPDATE September 2020: Shipping is improving but still slower and less-well documented than in pre-pandemic days. I believe we have actually lost Zero shipments. Some have taken 4 months to reach Europe; some have been sent back due to minor address errors; none have been lost.

    UPDATE November 2020: USPS shipping is back to pre-pandemic service levels. We hope to add DHL Express as an option for international shipments soon. All orders ship from our Lab in 1-3 business days.

    UPDATE December 2020: We are trying to increase frequency of shipping during the holiday season, from within 3 business days to within 2 business days. This may depend partly on when I am released from quarantine. We are doing all we can for you during this whackiest of seasons in the strangest of years. Hang on tight!

    UPDATE January 2021: COVID-19 remains a disruptive mess in the Chicago area, affecting the capacity of all shipping services. First Class International packages in particular are showing longer-than-usual times to leave the US as we work through staggering backlogs with diminished workforce. Be patient, or consider paying a lot more for Priority Express service.
