I did the same thing on Jumper 3. These pads don’t seem to like to take solder. I ended up with a solder blob on my iron tip and a lump of solder mask/rosin on the jumper. When I scraped off the lump I took the pads off as well (I have an image, unsure how the forum can accept images). I am thinking of trying to use a Chemtronics CW2200MTP microtip pen on this jumper. Adding insult to injury, while moving my iron away from the failed jumper, the solder blob on the tip then dropped off and splashed into and under the DC power jack, shorting its terminals! The replacement jack doesn’t want to solder into the holes which I have cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, the holes are repelling solder. I’m using MG Chemical 60/40 rosin core. What iron temperature do you guys recommend? I’m using a Hakko FX-600 set at 370F. A beautiful build turned into a disaster at the very end. Thanks.
